Technologies and System for the Building Shell

SATES, the Building Shell Technologies and Systems Exhibition will return to SAIEDUE LIVING in 2007, after the usual one-year hiatus, offering the world's most comprehensive overview of innovative technologies in shell definition: focusing on windows, systems, extruded aluminium profiles and accessories, curtain walls, and production machinery, which offer designers and door and window makers an essential source of the latest information about the new frontiers regarding the outer "envelope" of buildings.

Aluminium-wood doors and windows

Outstanding news from the 2007 edition: SATES ALUMINIUM WOOD is the thematic exhibition developed thanks to a collaboration between SAIEDUE and UNCSAAL, with the aim to emphasize the importance of aluminium-wood doors and windows, an industry which, year after year, is asserting its position on the market. High technology and great attention to design contributed to gain aluminium-wood doors and windows quick affirmation and to increase its penetration of the market from 5,2% in 1999 to 12,1% in 2005.

Flooring Exhibition

The twenty-third edition will focus on a whole spectrum of floorings, from the most traditional to the most innovative types, dedicating to them a showcase unique to the international trade fair calendar.

Wood flooring, a historical feature at SAIEDUE LIVING, will be on display in hall 35, offering architects, interior designers and planners suggestions on new and original ways of using this material in public and private buildings.

Exhibition of Security and Safety, Intelligent Systems Installations and Home Automation

During SAIEDUE LIVING 2005 all the active and passive technologies for protecting buildings will occupy centre stage at SECURBUILDING, Exhibition of Safety and Security, Domotics and Smart Systems for the Home and Office, which combines different, carefully targeted synergetic initiatives.

SecurBuilding was inspired by the consideration that at SAIEDUE LIVING, the theme of safety and security has traditionally been represented in the various different product categories: over 250 companies will be presenting protection systems at SAIEDUE LIVING 2006 and therefore they are mentioned in a comprehensive catalogue-guide that will be distributed free of charge at the fair entrance gates to suggest a specific guided itinerary inside the Bologna exhibition halls.

The Exhibition of Marble and Natural Stones

Within the framework of SAIEDUE LIVING 2006, International Exhibitions on Architecture, Interior Finishing, Building Renewal and Technologies, Marble and Natural Stones will once again take centre stage thanks to LIVING STONES, the theme show where technologies for living and the home rediscover and exploit stone materials reinterpreted in a modern light.

During the five days of the exhibition, to be held from Tuesday the 14th to Saturday the 18th of March 2006 at the Bologna Exhibition Centre, LIVING STONES will offer over 130,000 professional visitors a chance to experience the fascination of marble, granite and natural stone in interpretations proposed by dozens of exhibitors for applications in public and private spaces.

LIVING STONES represents a valuable opportunity for all professionals in the marble and natural stone sector to propose their solutions to a selected public of Architects, Designers, Building contractors, Craftsmen and Dealers: the 2005 edition was attended by 130,000 people and standing out among them were 12,000 foreign visitors, who confirmed SAIEDUE LIVING as a leading international event in this sector.

The exhibition features the most modern and advanced machinery and technologies for wood frame manufacture. In fully operational production centres and workshops, specially set up within the fair, visitors can get a close-up view of the technological solutions devised by companies to minimise noise emissions and guarantee optimal safety and comfort in the workplace.

Naturpolis, exhibition of ecological and ecologically upgrading products for the building trade

At Saiedue Living sustainable architecture has a highly important commercial showcase and an exceptional display platform: it is Naturpolis, the only Italian exhibition dedicated to ecological and ecologically upgrading products for building, which offers designers and contractors a vast array of flooring and wall coverings, paints, special glass, low-temperature heating systems, mortar and plaster – all strictly ecological.

For ten years Naturpolis has been promoting the culture of environmentally friendly and healthy living, thanks also to the packed programme of meetings, conferences, seminars and workshops proposed by Saiedue Living in conjunction with Edicom Edizioni.

Together with Sunweek, a theme show dedicated to renewable energy which is staged in the same exhibition hall, Naturpolis stimulates an important focus on sustainable building. Here architects, engineers and designers can see for themselves the ease of installation and use as well as the aesthetic virtues of products enabling them to intervene in both public and private spaces while safeguarding nature and the well-being of man.

SUNWEEK Exhibition of Renewable Energies

Given the steady growth of exhibitors and visitors, SUNWEEK has consolidated its position as Italy’s key event for renewable energies and the integration of photovoltaic solar and thermal solar technologies in the building industry.

The SUNWEEK theme show, which takes place within the most important international architecture trade fair, SAIEDUE LIVING, can boast a turnout of over 130,000 building trade professionals.

Here, planners, fitters, architects, geometricians and technicians discover the economic and environmental advantages of applying of renewable energies in architecture.

The overall exhibition is enriched by an excellent conference programme which involves top trade editors and solar energy associations.

Exhibition of Colour and Decoration

The road towards solvent-free paints. The DECOR & COLOR SHOW, a two-yearly theme show within SAIEDUE LIVING - International Exhibitions on Architecture, Interior Finishing, Building Renewal and Technologies - provides a comprehensive overview of the decoration market and offers trade professionals the most complete update on the products manufactured by Italian and International companies with regard to paints, glazes, decorating finishes, stairs and scaffolding, decorative stuccoes, primers and products for the preparation of surfaces, special paints - silicate-based, fire-retardant, anti-corrosive, dye concentrates - software and color-mixing systems, brushes, rollers and wall paper.
